Up and over Garage Doors
‘Up and Over’ or ‘canopy’ doors are your classic garage doors. They open by lifting the door by a handle on the bottom half of the door, which pivots on its steel frame. The door rolls up vertically until it is horizontal. The open door will stick outside of the garage at the top of the door frame.
Retractable Garage Doors
Retractable garage doors function much like the traditional ‘up and over’ mechanisms, but with an extra steel frame on the ceiling of the garage. This enables the door to be much heavier – and more secure – as it is better supported when the door is open, while it also reduces the length of door which sticks out of the opening. This mechanism is well suited to electric/automatic set ups, but can also function manually.
Roller Garage Doors
Roller garage doors are made using slim slats that fit the width of the doorway, and are stacked on top of each other. This is what allows the roller shutters to wrap around each other into the neat roll when the garage door is opened. As the door opens, each slat separates from the garage door and are wrapped around each other.
Sectional Garage Doors
Sectional doors are like a cross between the retractable and the roller. They use the ceiling frame work of the retractable door mechanism to hold up the garage door, which is built in sections (like the roller but much larger).
Side Hung Garage Doors
Side hung garage doors work just like a normal building door – there are two doors next to each other and they are hinged at their respective side of the frame. They can either be symmetrical, or have one smaller and one larger door.
We also stock a wide range of windows in various sizes, styles, and efficiency ratings. Contact us for more details about or window supply and fitting.
We supply and install a variety of doors including Composite, PVC and Aluminium doors. The
difference between Composite and PVC doors is in the materials used, Composite doors are made
with a solid timber core and glass reinforced polyester with PVC frame surround whereas PVC doors
are made with durable PVC solely.Composite doors are generally more popular for the main
entrance whereas PVC doors are a more affordable option for a back door or garage entrance door.
Bi Fold Doors
Bi-Fold doors fold in next to each other to create a very large opening along a wall. They do not have to be fully opened, and provide a very stylish, versatile option for your space.
French doors are a set of two glass doors which are hinged to their respective sides of the door frame. They can be opened individually or together depending on your needs.
